Thanks for the kind words Romy. I am enjoying taking my time with this project and getting things just right. It sure helps when there is little development involved, just duplication more or less. Development may come later as I impose my exp...

Guy, here some unconnected comments that you might find worth considering. They are in no order or importance, just random thoughts.

Aga, you clearly see a split in the image referred above it
means that the midhorns are no single solid horizontal assembly but two separate
units that were so unlucky positioned probably for the sake of photogenicism. Jonathan Valin In his write u...

I need to give it to you and I need to retract my comments
about your bass pipes. I did find them to be ugly in your prototype drowning

Yes, this English pace did not give a lot of new information. I know nothing about the AudioTekne Company. I like that they wrote about their bass driver but I do not know how much truth and the actual results behind it. I do think that they wor...

[quote user="RF at Ona"] Romy,I might have overlooked something on your site but I understand that your ULF amp is driven directly by the preamp line stage. If that is the case, you may want to consider an old technique for integrating subwoofers...

It is not surprising that the subject of horn is as screwed as the subject of drivers. It is understandable as driver must be made for specific horn loading, not one make drivers properly, so what the horns are made for?
A horn is a very simple dev...

Anthony,
Yes, this is the exact configuration that I have. As you drive your LF channels down, probably it will be 30-35Hz with >2 order filter you will like the sound from them even more. I hope you have a good ...

Similar to the famous sexist tail that women can be only ether pretty or smart the midbass horns unfortunately behave in the very same way: they can be only nicely placed in a room or they can sound good. You want the horn to place in a specific ...

Here some raw cements of my on it, without any particular order of importance….

Yesterday I finalized everything, made the crossovers permanent,
arranged the cables, check the phases and levels per each channel and officially
declared to my wide that the listening room setting up is over. Then as the kids

Preamplifiers: keys to mystery – or…. how a preamp might be not only a load-driving gadget.
Years after years the preamplifiers are being a “terra incognito” of audio people. I admit that preamps are a subject of my persistent curiosity. I was alway...

Joe, I think I would battle it.
I would not be so certain. Mostly the SUV sized bass horns are notoriously bad sounding despite of the assurances of the system owners overwhelmed with so common in audio endowment effect. Not to mention that the Stag...

All thinking about ULF are usually centered on 3 subjects:

Yep, indeed, it looks very nice. The 8 sections of bass line
